Within walking distance ...


The Charente River is only ten minutes walk away where you will find supervised river swimming, a children's play area, adult outdoor gym,  Archery, Tree top wires, Kayak, pedalo and paddle board  rental.  Walk to Le Moulin de Condac or La Rejallant, both of which are  excellent riverside restaurants. We can also suggest a variety of walking  or biking routes to discover the wildlife and beautiful  countryside.


Parc et Jardin De L'Abregement, in Bioussac - 8 ha of park and garden lanscape surrounding an 18th century house. An amphitheatre and the brightly coloured flowers and vegetables are interspersed with contemporary sculptures from artists such as Andy Goldsworthy, Anthony Gormley, Christian Lapie and Joel Shapiro

Local Market 


Ruffec Market every Saturday & Wednesday.  Indoor fish market offering fresh fish and seafood.  Have a coffee and enjoy the buzz of the town center or  wander around the stalls surrounding the Mairie . Discover exciting delicacies and local produce including organic breads, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, meats and sausages and the renowned Charente honey.
